Wyoming 2004 Trip

Brother David turned 40 on July 20. On Monday July 19 the four of us flew to Denver, to surprise him (Amanda was in on it). We stayed overnight just north of Denver, then drove up to Laramie on Tuesday July 20 for the surprise and Birthday Party that night.

Since we flew, APRS tracking of the trip is limited to trackers we borrowed from David after our arrival. (maps to be included soon.)

	July 20 - Arrival in Laramie, Surprising David, Birthday party
	July 21 - Wading pool in Undine Park; roasting marshmallows
	July 22 - Fossil Creek Park, Fort Collins CO
	July 23 - Travel to Saratoga including a beautiful sunset
	July 24 - Saratoga Inn and hot springs
	July 24 - rafting on the North Platte River
	July 24 - After rafting: Saratoga Inn, dinner, and walk into town
	July 25 - Returning from Saratoga: Encampment, and Snowy Range Mountains
	July 26 - Univ. of Wyoming campus; swimming at the new Laramie Community Center
	July 27 - Drive to South Dakota
	July 28 - Spearfish Canyon Lodge; 50's memorabilia; Mt. Rushmore; Crazy Horse
	July 29 - Spearfish Canyon, Sturgis, TeePee Rest Area
	July 29 - Badlands National Park
	July 29 - More Badlands; Wall Drug
	July 30 - Spearfish Canyon Restaurant; hiking to Spearfish Falls; driving to Roughlock Falls
	July 30 - Cars in Wheatland; back to Laramie
	July 31 - Park with Amanda & Gwyn; Rodeo in Cheyenne's "Frontier Days"
	August 1 - Veadawoo, kites, sunset; Including the Escaping Kite!!
	August 2 - Rocky Mountain National Park
	August 3 - Drive through canyon in the Rockies from Estes Park (where we stayed) back to Denver to catch flight home
